Bus Chartered for Manzanar Pilgrimage
to Leave from Little Tokyo

A 50 passenger air-conditioned bus has been chartered for the April 24, 2004 Manzanar Pilgrimage, the Manzanar Committee announced recently. The bus also has toilet facilities. The bus will depart from 244 South San Pedro Street, in front of the Japanese American Community and Cultural Center at 7:00 a.m. All passengers are expected to be at the departure point by 6:45 a.m.

To reserve a seat, a pre-paid, non-refundable fee of $20.00, made payable to the Manzanar Committee, must be mailed to P.O. Box 9489, Marina del Rey, CA 90295 before April 17. 2004. No phone reservations are accepted.

Participants must bring their own lunch and snacks as there are no facilities to purchase food at Manzanar National Historic Site. Water will be provided.

Confirmation letters will be mailed to individuals whose checks are received before the deadline.

A second bus sponsored by the San fernando Valley chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League will leave from the SFV Japanse American Community Center in Pacoima.
